The Cadel Evans Interview of the Century |
|
This just in...
What is sure to be the most revealing and personal interview of the year…Global Cycling Supply’s own, Harry Baggins, interviewed one of cycling’s biggest icons in his Australian home recently. The interview happened in his plush yet comfortable living room under a large mantle and gigantic portrait of Cadel Evans, current world champion.
The following takes place between the hours of 8 pm and 9 pm.
HB: Well Cadel, it’s a pleasure to be here again. It’s been too long and we certainly thank you for allowing us to conduct such a rare, secluded, and private interview.
CE: Yes, thank you for your interest. I usually don’t grant such interviews, as my training is quite intense and think interviews rather silly.
HB: Well, we do appreciate it and understand that this is a privilege, not a right…as the saying goes. Critics are saying that this might be one of your last chances to win the Tour De France. And most of cycling’s so called “experts” give you little if any chances of contending with, let alone beating, such big name stars as Contador, Schleck, Armstrong, Sastre, Leipheimer, Wiggins, Kloden, that other Schleck brother, Vinokourov, Millar, Vandevelde…you get my drift…your thoughts?
CE: Yeah, I’m glad that this year the [so called] “Big name stars” will catch more of the limelight. I’m growing tired of getting so much attention all the time…they should sort of, take the attention off of me, if you know what I mean.
HB: You think you get that much attention?
CE: Harry, I’m on television all the time. I do think that I get a lot of attention and I am the current World Champion.
Tune in for the thrilling conclusion later this week!
